The wooden parts of cars are often associated with English classics. It's not strange, the first cars were largely made of wood and England had the widest choice of different makes of cars where wood was the material of choice.
Wood gives an expensive and luxurious look, brands such as Rolls Royce are a good example of this, to this day wood dominates the interior.
For our classic Volkswagen, you can also make the interior more luxurious by adding wooden details. Like this knob with the shift pattern on it.
