Product description
At the bottom of the window there is a reinforced metal edge into which the window is clamped, this edge is called the window lift channel. The window lift channel is attached to the window mechanism and tightened around the window.
If the window lift channel does not come with a rubber, you can add one as an additional option (see the options tab). The rubber catches on the window, and using an old rubber may cause the window not to lock properly.
Mark the middle where the old window lift channel is mounted and not the ends, as the length may be different between the old and new channel. Remove the old channel and fit the new one using only glycerine if you need lubricant. If you use any other substance, the rubber may be damaged and you will have to start all over again in six months.
Close the window and keep it closed as long as possible, because if you have used glycerine, it must dry out first. If you lower the window too quickly, there is a good chance that it will come off the window lift channel.
Note: Make sure that the glass is properly mounted on the window lift channel so that the window will operate without problems, a window that slides with difficulty may cause the window mechanism to fail.
