Product description
To create more interior space, all Volkswagen Westfalia motorhomes were equipped with a raised roof, and from the 1968 model year onwards, they switched from a small, upward-sliding roof hatch to a large, tilting roof. This considerably increased headroom and offered the possibility of additional sleeping or storage space.
On models from 1968 to 1973, the roof opened at the front; on the model modified at the end of 1973, it opened at the rear.
The tilting roof closes against the bodywork with a tight rubber edge. On the Volkswagen Bay Window Bus from 1973 onwards, these are separate rubbers, while on the Bay Window up to 1973 and the VW Vanagon, they are a single unit.
Especially for the Bay Window Bus between 1973 and 1979, the rubber between the roof rack and the body is also supplied as standard. For other model years, this rubber can be ordered as an option (see "options" tab). For the Vanagon, you can also choose between rubber for the body roof or for a roof spoiler, depending on the version of your Westfalia.
