Product description
The vent window is mounted on the front and top of the door rabbet and rests on a horizontal reinforcement in the door at the bottom.
If the vent window frame were to rest directly on the horizontal door reinforcement, this could cause irritating cracking noises during driving, so a plastic clip is mounted on the underside of the frame that connects the windscreen frame to the horizontal door reinforcement. Many people do not know about the existence of this support clip, if the clip is still present and can be removed when the frame is dismantled, few restorers know where it comes from. The vent window is then mounted without a clip and therefore without any form of support.
