A standard adjusting screw or stud never touches the valve stem over its entire surface, which does not allow for a perfect and durable adjustment. With this version, the contact surface follows the valve stem, using the entire surface of the adjusting screw, which allows a perfect and durable adjustment.

The pressure ball is lubricated by the rocker arm, so it is essential that the oil channel of the rocker arm is not blocked by the screw thread and that the oil channel of the rocker arm and the adjusting screw is not obstructed. If this is the case, the balls can no longer tilt and you have achieved the opposite result, resulting in broken set screws and probably crushed valve stems.

The adjusting screws are screwed into the rocker arm from below, for which the rocker arm shaft must first be removed. When mounting the rocker shaft, the adjustment plates supplied come under the base of the rocker shaft for basic adjustment. Fine adjustment is made by turning the adjusting screws in or out, taking into account that the oil channel is not closed by the adjustment. If this is the case, you will have to modify the basic setting by inserting additional adjustment plates or using thinner plates. It is advisable to order two more sizes of adjustment plates in order to complete the job in one go.

Supplied with 4 adjustment plates (1.524 mm), but without lock nuts. You can use your old nuts, but it is a good idea to order new ones (see options tab).
