Product description
A hood lock keeps the hood lid closed. On a Volkswagen Beetle, it is mounted on the hood lid with the hood handle (not included). If the locking pin is bent and no longer fits directly into the trunk lock, a new one should be installed.
The model from August 1967 is equipped with a chrome release button. It was officially applied by VW until July 1972, after which it became a black plastic button.
The lock pin for the Karmann Ghia is used for both the hood and trunk lid depending on the year of manufacture.
