Product description
When the engine tilts excessively, in the worst case even to the point where the vehicle jumps out of gear on its own, it is time to thoroughly inspect the gearbox mounts.
Do not worry, you are certainly not the only one dealing with torn rubber mounts. Most of our classics experience this sooner or later, it is a typical age-related issue. Therefore, it is advisable to replace all rubber components during a restoration. This requires removing the engine, a job you would rather not undertake right after your first test drive. Most workshops with knowledge of classic Volkswagens will therefore recommend replacing the rubber mounts whenever, for whatever reason, the engine and or gearbox is removed.
For the T25 for which this specific mount is suitable, there are several versions that look almost identical. The difference lies in the vulcanized rubber section. You can compare it with your old mount, but it is even better to select the correct mount based on the installed gearbox and engine, as stated in the application details.
