Installing plastic mouldings in window joints is tedious work, to say the least. In addition to a lot of glycerine, you need a lot of patience and the power of your thumb.
It is still an unpleasant job, but with the right tool, fitting becomes much more pleasant.
The tool is guided through the eye, after which the eye is pressed into the moulding groove, after which the tool is pulled further through the moulding groove and the pressure roller helps to press the moulding into the groove. Optionally, you can bend the pinch roller so that it is closer to the tool, which makes the roller easier to handle during assembly.
Note: Use plenty of lubricant in the form of glycerin. If you don't use a glycerin-based lubricant, there is a good chance that the rubber will be damaged and aging will be accelerated. There are many examples of windshield seals showing dryness cracks after a year, because the wrong lubricant was used when the window seal or molding was installed.
