Product description
In order to force the tailgate to lock, guide plates are mounted on the tailgate and on the body. The body guide plates are made of solid aluminum while the tailgate plates have a vulcanized rubber section.
The guide plates on the body will need to be replaced if they are worn, the guide plates on the tailgate need to be replaced more quickly. The vulcanized part of most cars has dried out with age, causing the rubber to detach from the metal.
