The four-wheel drive Syncro models are based on the Volkswagen Vanagon in terms of bodywork and interior, but there are many hidden differences. On the engine side, they also use the same engines, although they have been slightly modified in some places, which is necessary for the four-wheel drive and the higher wheel position.
The coolant pipes that run over the gearbox are not loose, but are lifted over the gearbox by a fixed pipe. This replacement coolant pipe is made of stainless steel, so you will never have to replace it again. The purists among us might consider polishing the pipe to a high shine, then applying a heat resistant clear coat for a beautiful, long-lasting result.
