Alignment pins ensure that the convertible top falls correctly onto the windscreen frame and also hold the assembly together.
Rust and wear by the many years of use over the years can be a reason that replacement is necessary. With these stainless steel specimens, rust will in any case not get a chance, you will probably never have to replace them again.
In order not to damage the bodywork, these fall into guide plastics (see Options tab) which are mounted in the windscreen frame.
