Product description
When you open the side gates of a Volkswagen Bus pickup, there is no way to secure them. You can imagine that a run with the gates down would seriously damage the paint. Volkswagen also thought about this and instead of fixing the side gates they chose the simplest way by mounting rubber buffers on the tailgates.
If your side gates rotate smoothly, the stop can still cause a large bump. But if you let it tilt in a controlled way, the stop will do its job.
As an additional note, the diameter and height are mentioned in case you want to use the stop for another purpose.
