Product description
If the budget does not allow for the best quality, or your Volkswagen Bus is not exactly in concours condition, you may want to consider these B-quality side loading door seals.
These sponge rubber profiles are black, whereas the original seals are grey. They are also hollow inside rather than solid rubber and, unlike the original, are not made from separate profile sections. The profiles are welded together at the corners.
If the doors cannot be adjusted correctly and therefore do not close as they should, the A-quality solid rubber profiles can actually make the problem worse. Due to the greater resistance of the solid rubber, the doors may be even more difficult to close with A-quality seals fitted. In that case, these hollow B-quality seals can provide a solution, allowing even a slightly bent or twisted door to be fitted with seals.
The seal is designed to be pressed into the channel without glue or any other adhesive. If the channel has widened due to corrosion or is no longer correctly shaped as a result of a less successful repair, use only a minimal amount of silicone-free sealant to keep the seal in place.
