Product description
The rubbers that are mounted in the window frame ensure that the window tightens well and is not damaged.
Rubber #00333 has a profile inside to prevent the window from slipping, it has a length of 348 mm. This information can be useful if you want to use the rubber for other purposes. After cleaning the glass, slide the rubber around the glass, iron the rubber outside with soapy water so that the glass with the rubber can be easily pressed into the window frame. To determine the position, it is useful to first mount the window frame on the door mechanism, then place the window in the frame (without rubber) and mark the position of the window frame. Do not try to push the window directly into the window frame with the rubber, but always do so on the workbench, you could damage the rotation mechanism by the pressure you have to apply. Once installed, you can leave the windows closed for at least 24 hours so that the soapy water can dry and the window cannot come out when you close it.
The Karmann Ghia mounting method differs from the method described above: the rotating windows are screwed onto the window frame, where the rubber has a protective function and prevents rattling.
