Product description
Originally, the front trunk was equipped with a cardboard finish. If you want to finish the trunk with the same level of finish as your interior, then a trunk carpet should not be missing.
To maintain the strength of the trunk bottom, all carpet kits are designed to be used with the original trunk liner cardboard, or what remains of it. You can lay the carpet without fixing it to the cardboard, but it is better to glue it. The purchase of a new cardboard is not necessary, you only use the cardboard for its strength as a resistance, and cut the visible cardboard parts so that only the carpet remains visible.
Carpet kits are not copies of the original cardboard. For example, with the exception of the 1303 Beetle and the Karmann Ghia, the wiring area is not covered, use the wiring protection cover behind the dashboard listed under the Options tab.
The edges are sewn identical to the interior carpets.
