Product description
To hold the bumper firmly in place and prevent vibration, spacers are used between the bumper and the bumper supports. These rubbers are clamped into the bumper brackets.
On later Volkswagen Beetles, these plastic parts are mounted on the rear bumper. On Karmann Ghia models up to and including the 1971 model year, the rubbers are present on both the front and rear bumpers. at the front, the rubber is in two parts per side, while at the rear it's one part per side. Unlike the VW Beetle, the Karmann Ghia's rubbers are mounted between the end of the bumper and the fender.
