This reinforced bolt no longer has an underlying washer, but it is an integral part of the bolt, making it much stronger than the original.
Another advantage is that the bolt can be tightened and loosened directly with the 3/8 ratchet connection, which reduces the space needed to mount or dismount the pulley or turn the crankshaft for adjustment work.
