Fitting new piston rings or a new cylinder and piston kit can be a difficult task without a piston ring spring.
After all the piston rings have been fitted around the piston, they are clamped tight around the piston with a pair of pliers and this piston ring compressor.There are two piston springs available for the different bores.
If you have a 1200 or 1300cc engine then the #1111 can be reworked by bending the tabs a bit further so that the compressor has a smaller range.
