Product description
This sensor is intended for the sensor adapter for Type 4 motors (shown on the related parts tab). This sensor or sender can also be mounted in a type 1 and CT/CZ engine in the oil filler plate (in this case a hole must be drilled and tapped), provided you have a Volkswagen universal crankcase. If you have an original crankcase where this hole is not present at the factory, you can still mount this sensor at this location, you will have to drill a hole in the crankcase and thread it.
Note: Do not mount this sensor in a standard crankcase cover of a Type 1, Type 3 or CT/CZ engine, you will hit the oil sieve and close the oil intake. This is only possible if you lift the housing cover at the location of the drain plug, so that there is enough space between the sensor and the oil sieve.
