Product description
Body mouldings are fitted on all VW models. The Volkswagen Bus was an exception to this rule, it was only equipped with trim in the more luxurious version. Depending on the VW model, there are also trim strips on the dashboard, running boards, sills and side windows.
Mouldings are mounted with metal or plastic clamps that often break or bend during disassembly, anyone who has completed a restoration can discuss it.
The plastic clips for the body mouldings of the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia and VW Type 3 are inserted directly into the sheet metal and only engage by pressing a clamping pin. First mount all clips on the body, secure them with the pins before pressing the clips. In the case of the Volkswagen Beetle and VW Type 3, if metal clips are fitted, these are first pressed into the moulding and then pressed into the recesses in the bodywork, which must first be fitted with rubbers to prevent rattling and the risk of damage. The trim strips of the Volkswagen Bus are screwed on at the point where the trim strips snap into place.
All fasteners are delivered in a fixed packing unit (mentioned in addition) which is sufficient for all mouldings. If additional mounting parts are required, these are listed as optional extras.
