Product description
If your VW Bus is fitted with rear passenger seats, the middle seat is secured to the floor using clamps, hammerhead bolts and wing or hexagonal nuts.
The rear bench rests against the bulkhead and, once secured, is perfectly stable. The middle seat is different: it is more or less free on the load floor. In this case, mounting with clamps and hammer bolts is insufficient. This is why mounting brackets are available to reinforce the bench at the fixing points.
Initially, aluminum support plates were used for this purpose. However, aluminum turned out not to be the right material for solid attachment, so cracks in the aluminum occurred regularly. Volkswagen then opted for steel, where this problem could not occur.
Our reproductions are therefore made of steel and finished with a durable powder coating.
Don't forget to check the "options" tab for the mounting brackets, hammerhead bolts, standard nuts and/or wing nuts required.
