Product description
Koch introduced these distinctive 3-line horn grilles in the 1960s. They were especially popular in America at the time as an accessory for the Volkswagen Beetle.
Original Koch horn grilles are now almost impossible to find, but fortunately good reproductions are available. You can choose between brushed aluminium, as they were originally supplied, or chrome-plated stainless steel.
Brushed aluminium:
This is the authentic version and comes closest to the original appearance. Aluminium is relatively soft and therefore more susceptible to scratches, small dents and deformation. The surface can also oxidise over time. If you prefer a shiny finish, the aluminium can be polished to a high gloss.
Chrome-plated stainless steel:
This version is stronger and less susceptible to damage than aluminium. Stainless steel is also highly resistant to corrosion, so this version requires little maintenance and will retain its appearance for a long time.
Installation is simple. The horn grilles fit into the existing openings in the wings and are secured by bending the four mounting tabs around the rear of the panel.
