Kick panels, also known as scuff panels, are used in the Bus to neatly finish the area below the dashboard.
They are called kick panels for a reason. They are mounted fairly low, making it easy to hit them with your shoes when getting into the vehicle. As a result, the original panels are often damaged or distorted.
The original kick panels were made from pressed cardboard. After many years of use, these panels are usually no longer in the best condition. The versions listed here are made from black ABS plastic and offer a clear improvement over the originals. They are much less vulnerable, more resistant to damage and retain their shape. This is often not the case with the original pressed-cardboard versions after many years of use.
For a more luxurious finish, the kick panels are also available in moisture-resistant hardboard covered with black vinyl. This version can be found under the Alternatives tab.
