In order to carefully conceal the tailgate hinges, Volkswagen has placed plastic hinge covers that fit over the hinges from the 1964 model year onwards.
On most Volkswagen Bus models, these covers have turned yellow, torn or have been partially digested over the years.
These reproductions are not made of polyester as often found, but they are like the plastic originals and have the right holes for direct mounting.
