Product description
Street and drag racers often find that a standard or high-power starter motor is not sufficient. They are looking for a starter that can deliver extreme power and effortlessly turn through the compression stroke. This Hi-Torque starter is specifically designed for that purpose and delivers sufficient power under all conditions. It is also resistant to the very high temperatures generated during racing.
A standard starter motor is supported at two points, whereas Hi-Torque starters are supported at no less than five points. The windings of the solenoid are not made of steel but of aluminum and are equipped with ventilation openings to dissipate heat quickly.
This starter motor is designed so that it no longer needs support from the gearbox. If you have a standard vehicle and want the very best, even without a high-performance engine, the Hi-Torque starter is an excellent choice.
As an additional specification, the diameter of the pinion gear is listed. The stated model year is based on the original specifications. However, your engine or flywheel may no longer be original. Therefore, always check the diameter of the pinion gear before ordering.
