Product description
In older Volkswagen models, the heater is operated by a rotary knob. The cable is turned to the left or right to open or close the heat exchanger valves.
The cable is inserted into the slot of the rotating mechanism. To prevent the cable from slipping, it is locked with a dowel pin.
A dowel pin is not an ordinary piece of metal but a part produced with the utmost precision, the fit must be perfect. If it deviates by a fraction, the pin will loosen and the heating cable will come loose.
The dowel pin mentioned here is produced with the utmost precision. To ensure that corrosion has no chance, it is made entirely of stainless steel, a higher quality than the original part. If you don't want to get cold, make sure the heating cable is securely attached and don't be tempted by cheap reproductions.
