The use of aluminium is a trend that began in the mid-70s under the name "Billet style". Most trends only last a few years until something new comes along, which is not the case for the visible use of aluminium in many accessories. The number of different pieces is growing all the time and let's be honest: it may not be the cheapest material but it is very beautiful.
For the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, VW Thing and Split Bus, the handbrake handle can be made more robust by fitting an aluminium sleeve and for the Bay Window Bus, the existing plastic handle is replaced by a solid aluminium model.
Accessories that not only embellish the interior but are also functional, the handbrake can be operated more comfortably than before.
