Product description
The original glove box is made of pressed cardboard, which is not the highest quality solution. After a few years, this material will have lost much of its strength.
If the trunk lid lock is attached to the glove box, you will not be the first to use the grinding tool to open the front trunk, as the entire handle is simply ripped off the cardboard. Volkswagen only solved this problem in 1983, from that time on, glove boxes were made of plastic as standard.
If you have to say goodbye to the original cardboard glove box and prefer to keep as much as possible of the appearance of your VW, the glove box mentioned here is the best alternative.
It is made from a fibrous composite material that looks very similar to the original cardboard, but with the strength of plastic. In some glove boxes, the interior is designed to give a more luxurious look.
