Product description
Many people think it's normal that opening the glove box is so difficult on older Volkswagens. Quickly pressing the button and hoping the lock unlocks and pops open is the reality for many.
You'd think Volkswagen would have thought better of this problem, but they have by way of a spring. The glovebox has a spring that causes it to open when the button is pressed. This spring is located around the left hinge pin. Many people do not have this spring, or it has lost its elasticity over the years.
