Once the overhaul of the rotating part is complete and you've started to assemble your engine, you can reuse all the old rusty nuts and washers, but this isn't very aesthetic. It's better to use new nuts and washers, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also to achieve a better end result. All nuts (except those on the cylinder head) are fitted with a plastic washer to prevent oil leaking through the threads. originally, this washer was never applied, and it was necessary to use a liquid gasket for the threads. With these nuts, the thread seal is no longer necessary and the locking is much better - in short, reason enough to replace your old nuts with this set for your engine's construction.
Some nuts and washers, such as those for the cylinder heads and various crankcase fixing nuts, are also included in the set for the rotating part only. So, when you use both kits, you'll have a few nuts and washers left over. This kit is intended for engines fitted with M10 threaded rods, but if you don't need the cylinder head nuts and washers, you can also use the kit for engines fitted with M8 threaded rods. The kit contains the following nuts and washers (some of which are also available separately).
