Product description
When developing the Volkswagen Split screen bus, a sliding window was chosen instead of wind-up windows for a reason. It had to become a VW Bus according to the Volkswagen concept : solid, indestructible and affordable for a large public. The VW Bus had to serve as a workhorse. Wind-up windows were a superfluous luxury that could only get broken, it could be much easier and more solid by using sliding windows.
The rear section is a fixed window where the glass is finished with a metal strip. At the factory, this so-called divider is sprayed in the body color. After years of being exposed to the elements, there are only a few Volkswagen Buses that have not rusted away this partition beam.
To get rid of the rust problem once and for all, this separation beam is reproduced in polished stainless steel. You do not have to look after it anymore and if you want to paint it in color, that is also possible. In any case there will be no more rusting.
Note: Do not forget to order the rubber that comes between the separation bar and the window, it is listed on the 'options' tab.
