Product description
These securing caps screw onto the outside of the differential housing where the drive shafts enter the differential.
These are plastic covers that will crack irreparably if the original plates underneath are not used, as prescribed by Volkswagen. This is the most common reason why a replacement is necessary. If your old plates are still straight, you can use them again without any problem.
We advise you to order new plates which are listed on the options tab. These should be slightly curved, to keep tension on the mounting screw against loosening, which will probably not be the case with the old plates.
