From the year of manufacture 1983, the passenger compartment was equipped with an additional heating unit, the heating of the passenger compartment proved too low for this. The heating valve regulates the amount of coolant, i. e. the temperature of the heating system.
This valve works mechanically with a cable that runs to the controller on the dashboard. Due to wear and tear, the valve may jam or leak, so you will need to replace the entire valve.
The complete valve can only be used on Volkswagen Bus models from 8.1985 and later, for VW Bus models from 8.1982 to 7.1985, the control fork must be replaced by an additional conversion fork (see related parts tab).
