Product description
The most ideal shock absorber for Buggies, Baja's and vehicles equipped with a tow bar that regularly carry a heavy load.
Around the shock absorber is a spring that is adjustable in strength (5 positions). This adjusts not only the spring strength, but also the height. The lowest position of the spring is still higher than a standard shock absorber, so it is mounted with preload. Mount the upper side first, then place a jack under the shock absorber and jack it up until you can mount the lower side.
Note: Eye-mounted shock absorbers have a metal bushing pressed into the rubber. When disassembling the old shock absorbers, they sometimes want to stick to the support arm or mounting bolt (rusted) so the new shock absorber does not seem to fit. Remove this bushing before mounting the new one (if necessary, carefully grind it in with a grinder and then tap it loose).
Note for shock absorber #1375: On cars with a swing axle or if this shock absorber is mounted at the front, it is necessary to saw off the protruding bushing at the bottom of the shock absorber
Note for shock absorber #1376:Replace the nut at the top with a lock nut (tab 'Options') and do not tighten it too much, this to prevent the rubbers from being under too much tension and thus tearing.
