All turn indicators are equipped with a reflector that reflects the light source. As your Volkswagen ages, the reflective surface becomes blurred, which in most cases is caused by corrosion.
When you notice a reduction in light output, you often think about replacing the bulb first, but the cause often lies in the reflector. For this you will have to replace the complete lamp holder, you cannot replace the reflector separately.
It is very important that you are clearly visible when you turn, but the technical inspection will also pay attention to this, it may reject your vehicle.
