If your door handle is rusty or your lock broken, you will need to buy a new one; restoration is of course possible, but it is usually more expensive than a new handle.
During the first years of construction of the VW Beetle and VW Bus, the passenger's side door was not equipped with a key lock, the door could only be locked from the inside, even these door handles are newly available.
All door handles with lock are equipped with one or two keys, two handles working on one key are only applicable if the handles are supplied in pairs, which is possible with a number of models (see Alternatives tab)
Don't forget to order the seals (see options tab) which are often hardened or broken.
