These bumper mounting brackets are part of the front wheel arch and were never supplied by Volkswagen as spare parts. If a replacement was necessary back in the day, you had the choice between a manual repair or using part of a new front wheel arch for the purpose.
Times change, and today there are many repair parts that weren't available back then, including these bumper support mounting brackets.
These brackets are essential for correct positioning of the front bumper sides.
