Product description
If you own a 1900 waterboxer (WBX) between the years 1983 and 1985, you will find a drain valve between the radiator pipes and the thermostat housing.
This valve is made of plastic, as are several parts that have to do with water cooling. Mainly due to temperature changes, plastic hardens over time and as long as you don't touch it, it can last a very long time. Only during disassembly are you confronted with the brittleness of the material and parts may break and need to be replaced. Although the valve may still look good, you should check it for cracks before replacing it, if in doubt, it is advisable to replace it.
The reason you have to work on the valve is probably to replace or disconnect the cooling hoses. If you have not yet purchased new cooling hoses, they are listed in the "Exploded View" tab.
Only suitable for cars with manual gearboxes.
This breather is the same as the original and is therefore also made of plastic.
