Product description
One part that is missing on many cars, but certainly cannot be missing, are this brake shoe inspection plugs. These are located on the backing plates and seal the holes in the inspection and adjustment openings against dirt and water.
If the holes have worn by adjusting the brake shoes because the plate was used as a support, it is better to install new backing plates instead of fixing the inspection plugs with a silicone kit.
Note: If you cannot turn the brake tuning gear with a screwdriver when adjusting the brakes, and you are tempted to use the backing plate as a support, first make sure that the brake adjustment mechanism works properly. Do not unnecessarily deform the sheet metal of the inspection holes.
