In the 1960s and 1970s, EMPI was one of the best-known rim manufacturers in the US VW accessories market.
Volkswagen had the Lemmerz wheel that could be chosen as an option when buying a new car. EMPI produced a similar model under the name Sprintstar, which was originally made entirely of steel.
An original Sprintstar rim is hard to find and if you have found it, the price will be very high. That's why this popular rim appeared on the market as a reproduction in high quality aluminium which comes with hub cap and valve.
