Product description
Due to water splashes and dirt trapped between the torsion bar covers, the covers are subject to heavy wear and tear, resulting in severe rust damage over time. Most cars are so rusty that replacement is the only option. In the event of rust, it goes without saying that you must replace them, but also in the event of external rust, make sure that the lids are still thick enough and are not deformed.
It is advisable to order new rubbers immediately, which are available in their original version and for a number of VWs also in urethane. The old rubbers are deformed by the pressure of the rear axle and the bad condition of the covers, when reusing the old rubbers your road handling remains unchanged and bad. For this reason, both sides must always be replaced, not only the lids but also the inner and outer rubbers.
Some spring plate caps are not only available in original black but also chrome-plated
Caution: The chrome steel covers must be kept clean at all times to prevent rust from forming. There is therefore no form of guarantee for rust formation.
