From the 1964 model year, the Volkswagen Type 3 received, in addition to the sill strips, which were present from the start, body-mounted frame mouldings or strips. The original intention was for the VW Type 3 to succeed the VW Beetle. Despite the fact that Volkswagen tried to boost the popularity of the VW Type 3 with all sorts of luxury extras like these trim pieces, it never succeeded, and the entire VW Type 3 series disappeared from the scene in 1974.
The length of the front fender molding depends on whether or not a position light is fitted; these are not applied on models intended for the export market and the United States. In addition, the trim strips became narrower in 1967, as on the Volkswagen Beetle. If you want these wide trim strips, it's no problem, just enlarge the mounting holes and order the right mounting clips.
Under the Options tab you will find the fixing clips, it is advisable to order them directly, in most cases it is no longer possible to reuse the old clips.
They are identical to the original polished aluminium and are only delivered in one set, for the sill and for the bodywork.
