If you can no longer rely on the fuel gauge, or if it constantly indicates “full” or “empty”, the fuel tank sender may need replacement. This sender is mounted at the top of the fuel tank.
First check whether the fuel gauge itself is functioning correctly by disconnecting the sender wire. Move the wire manually. If the gauge needle moves smoothly from full to empty, the gauge is in good condition and the issue lies with the mechanical sender.
The fuel tank sender listed here is identical to the original version from the past. With the exception of the float itself, this unit is fully manufactured from metal. In addition, the float is equipped with an extra weight around the float shaft to reduce fluctuations of the fuel gauge needle as much as possible.
Please note that no gasket is included. This must be ordered separately and can be found under the ‘Options’ tab.
This fuel tank sender has earned its A-quality status for a reason. It is the best reproduction currently available. If you are looking for a more affordable alternative, please refer to the ‘Options’ tab.
