Product description
On Volkswagen Beetles and Buses, the hinges are riveted to the side of the door.
If the hinges are to be replaced, you need to drill out the rivets and replace them with a screw and nut assembly, exactly as prescribed by Volkswagen in the special repair manual published at the time for this job. The screws mentioned here are identical to the original, i.e. with a slotted head.
In the 1990s, Volkswagen replaced these screws with cross-headed models to enable a wider application and therefore not just for repairing the door hinges of a VW Beetle.
Note: don't forget to order the corresponding nuts and washers, which can be found in the "options" tab.
