If the valve cover gasket is defective and starts to leak, the pressure in the crankcase may be higher than normal, which is best avoided with performance motors.
To permanently stop this oil leak, these bolt valve covers have been developed. These covers are fastened to the rocker shaft with bolts instead of using conventional clamping brackets.
The choice of material (aluminium) and additional cooling fins ensure better heat dissipation than the original cover. Despite these advantages, most of us will install this cover for the looks, it's an asset for your engine.
Available as a complete kit with valve covers, mounting kit, and gaskets, or all parts separately.
Note: Over-tightening the bolts can cause the cover to break. To prevent this, the mounting bolts are relatively long when they leave the factory. This means that even after being fully tightened, the rocker cover may not be sufficiently secured to the cylinder head. In this case, remove the mounting bolts and shorten them by a few millimeters.
