Dieser Distanzring befindet sich zwischen dem Nockenwellenrad und dem Verteilerritzel auf der Kurbelwelle und bestimmt den richtigen Abstand.
Für Hochleistungsmotoren ist es ratsam, nicht diesen Standardring, sondern nur die Hochleistungsversion zu verwenden. Dieser Hochleistungs-Distanzring öffnet sich nicht bei starker Belastung (siehe Reiter Alternativen).
