Make sure that both cables are se-

curely attached, so that you have both

hands free to solder. Useful is for ex-
ample a so called "third

hand" (picture 4 and

picture below) to stabi-
lize the cables. If you don't have this

wood, for example, to fix the cables
with tape, that works just as well. Place

the soldering iron at the bottom of the

cables, warm the cable, press the sol-
dering tin against the top of the cable.

If it doesn't work, the soldering iron is

not warm enough.
