If your fuel filter is extremely dirty, it can affect the fuel supply so that the engine receives too little fuel. You can install a new filter over and over again, but isn't it wiser to replace the tank?
Often, rust flakes are the cause of the problem, cleaning the tank can help, but not for long, the metal is damaged and will soon cause a new problem.
Make sure that the bottom of the fuel tank is protected against corrosion. The tank is quickly forgotten when the car receives an anti-rust treatment.
Note : During production, the tank has undergone an anti-corrosion treatment on the inside, the anti-corrosion agent used must be removed before the tank is installed. If you don't do that, the anti-corrosion agent will go with the fuel which will lead to deteriorated performance and, in the worst case, blockages.
Use carburetor cleaner Cataclean (listed under the Options tab) to clean the inside of the tank then rinse several times well should gasoline. Check if the tank is clean and empty after which you can install it without any worries.
