If your fuel filter is extremely dirty, it can affect the fuel supply so that the engine does not receive enough fuel. You can install a new filter over and over again, but wouldn't it be wiser to renew the fuel tank?
Often rust particles are the cause of the blockage. Cleaning the fuel tank can sometimes help, but not for long. The metal is corroded and will cause a new blockage in no time at all.
If you own a Buggy, it is advisable to use the fuel tank model mentioned here. This is the only fuel tank with the inlet at the top and which offers the possibility to install a float. This fuel tank is also a bargain if you have welded the fuel valve of your VW Cal-look Beetle.
You can choose between a higher quality A-quality which is supplied with a solid grey powder coating, with the correct measurements and using the original cap that closes perfectly on this A-quality tank and the lower quality B-quality version.
The B-quality model has a black transport paint, is not as strict with the correct measurements and also the finish leaves a lot to be desired. In addition, the filler neck is different from the original, so you can no longer use the original cap. So always use the appropriate cap for this extra tank (indicated on the options tab). Despite this, a perfect seal is not always guaranteed.
The fuel tanks are delivered bare, you will need to purchase additional connections, these are mentioned on the options tab.
