An ideal sheet metal piece if you don't want to restore the side of your VW Bus from the existing sill with handmade sheet metal.
This piece replaces the outer sill with an attached side panel. originally, the lower sill is a loose piece of sheet metal to which the side panel is spot welded. With this repair sheet, it becomes one piece, and to mimic the seams of the original sheet, this sheet has pressed seams. Once the Bus is painted and your putty and sheet metal skills are properly executed, it will look like separate pieces of sheet metal.
This repair sheet metal is available in several heights where there is even a part starting from the rear wheel well, although this does not have imitation seams. All other parts can be found in the "alternatives" tab where the parts are also listed as they should be originally, which is a free bottom rail and a bottom rail with a spot welded side panel portion.
Note: Do not weld this sheet in one go, but do it in sections and try to introduce as little heat as possible into the material (cool it with water), otherwise it will become a corrugated sheet.
